PET FAIR
2007 REVIEW
The first edition of India International Pet Fair ran in New
Delhi, India between 09 & 10 February 2007 under the name of Creature
Companions International Pet Fair.
Exhibitors included manufactures and distributors from across India and from
abroad. And buyers descended on our fair from several countries - Australia,
China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Germany,
Netherlands, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.
With 60 stalls, and just fewer than 5000 footfalls, it wasn’t the size of
Interzoo International Pet Trade Fair in Germany, or CIPS International Pet
Trade Fair in China, but according to accounts from visitors and exhibitors
alike, it was a great start. For instance:
- Mr. Manfred Bogdahn, President of Flexi International (Germany) told us, "Forty years ago Interzoo started that same way. Your first-time show is a great start. Keep at it and you’ll surely grow".
- Mr. Albert Ding, General Manager of Redcoral Aquatech (China) said the same about CIPS when they started twelve years ago. He also encouraged us to make the Pet Fair an annual event.
With encouragement like this, we are now taking bookings for the 2008 edition.
