India International Pet Trade Fair
has Euromonitor International as its Official Information
Provider
Preparations have
begun on a war footing for the second India International
Pet Trade Fair (IIPTF) that is going to be held from 29
February to 2 March 2008 at NSIC, Okhla Industrial Estate,
New Delhi. In a major move, a deal was signed between the
renowned market research firm Euromonitor International and
Creature Companions—the organisers of the IIPTF.
Commenting on the
occasion, Ms Linda Brady-Hawke, CEO of LB Associates—the
publisher of Creature Companions—said that this partnership
would benefit the Indian pet industry in a major way. It
will help Indian trade professionals to make the proper
moves while also projecting the potential of the Indian pet
industry in the international market. As a part of this
deal, IIPTF will be sharing relevant statistics and figures
about the Indian pet industry with its visitors, which will
be provided by Euromonitor International.
Ms Laetitia Wong,
Account Manager for Pet food & Pet care, Euromonitor
International, responded, “Euromonitor International is
pleased to contribute, through IIPTF 2008, to boost the
strong potential of development of pet food & pet care
market globally and especially in India.”
To be held over an
area of 3000 square metres, the organisers are providing a
total number of 144 stalls at IIPTF 2008.
The first edition of
India International Pet Fair ran in New Delhi, India from
9-10 February 2007 under the name of Creature Companions
International Pet Fair.
Exhibitors included
manufactures and distributors from all over India and from
abroad. With 64 stalls, it wasn’t the size of Interzoo
International Pet Trade Fair in Germany or CIPS
International Pet Trade Fair in China, but according to
accounts from visitors and exhibitors alike, it was a great
start.
